Almeda Plaza Food Pantry (APFP) came into existence immediately after Hurrican Harvey as a point of distribution, servicing families in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area. APFP has been, and continues to be, a ray of hope for Southwest Houston, children, families, and homeless people in crisis.

Offering assistance in meeting the essentials of daily living, APFP matches client needs with available services and programs, including job search, food pantry, gently used items (when available), and various hygiene products.

Since the inception of APFP, a dedicated group of volunteers has devoted time, talent, and treasure to support our mission. Individuals, businesses, and the Houston Food Bank make it possible for us to provide the vital resources needed to serve over 7,200 clients each year. APFP has developed a culture being a caring, concerned, and supportive organization.

ASSISTANCE POLICY

Almeda Plaza Food Pantry under the 501 c3 non profit of Almeda Plaza Missionary Baptist Church. APFP provides social services to all eligible individuals regardless of their faith or background. We do not offer assistance to those in need based on the expressed or implied condition that they must adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or that they have to listen to, or respond to messaging of any particular faith. We are generous to our neighbors as God is generous to us, and as such, help those who are struggling in as much as we are able to, so that they can regain self-sufficiency.
